This is my current stack headed into 2020 (see pic). Actually it is missing a re-read of The Fellowship is the Ring (I love the epic story Tolkien tells and it helps me keep my own story in perspective) and Brene Brown’s Daring Greatly which my friend Bethany suggested.
There is definitely a theme here with the rest of the stack. I just finished John Eldredge’s Get Your Life Back. Wow, so good. It probably tops my list of his books next to Wild at Heart and Sacred Romance. I highly recommend it. Read it slowly.
In the same spirit, I found John Mark Comer ‘s The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. I’m loving his humble and personal story. And on recommendation from John Eldredge I’ll be diving into The Shallows by Nicholas Carr.
While visiting family for Christmas I discovered Since picking up Anti-social by Andrew Marantz, I have not been able to put it down. Such a fascinating and frightening read. I probably could have been described as a techno-utopian about ten years ago. Now I’m not sure if I am comfortable with the level of tech our world is submerged in. So many thoughts emerging. I may need to do some long-form writing when I surface.
