In an effort to get the sex appeal back for Chris here was our suggestion for a new academy...

We are thinking it could be Academy of Shorty Surveillance from the Foundation About Content Equity (We will let you piece together the acronym). No need to apply, membership is simply done by self decree.

I think Chris may be right about the Shorty awards as still being democratic, I think the issue lies with the "Academy" which has imposed itself on the shorty awards.

Dude, your post lost the sex appeal by ditching the part about the new academy Ash thought up. That aside, good thoughts, but not sure I agree. As far as I can tell, the process is still pretty dang democratic. It would seem that twitterati in little 'ol #CVO have a shot, if only enough of us rally to the cause.
